Building qualified links

The construction of qualified links is based on:

• wordnet inter-synsets relations
• predefined relation (built-in) for Q-concepts (quantities) and for R-concepts (relations)

It does not raise major problems

Step 2a

Construction of file ko.qlink.ii . This includes all wordnet originated qualified links (3-tier relation), but other -- non wordnet oriented - technical linsk are generated programatically in the concept class code. 

Building fuzzy links

Unlinke qualified links, fuzzy links (fLinks) are quite tricky (and arbitrary) to build.

The purpose is the construction of ko-ko fLinks.

But the available material provides:

• ko-qp links : typically in the wordnet definitions, examples... were the words used show linked qp.
• qp-qp links (or even up-qp links) : found in wikipedia and wiktionary, through texts and definition and providing voluminous material.
• qp-qp links : found in wikipedia and wiktionary hyperlinks.
  

Anyway, after the extraction and storage of ko-qp and qp-qp links, the key problem is the induction of ko-ko relations from the previous.

This problem is related to others:

• the bijective connection between wordnet synsets and wikipedia entries
• the questionable usage of (often poor) french translations in the fLink search
